David Cook WINS American Idol!
My DVR cut off at "The winner of American Idol is..."
Luckily I am also watching, but there could be some really UPSET viewers. The show ran a good 6 minutes over AGAIN.

The ladies take the stage in RED, then Donna Summer gets introduced to sing her new single while the girls harmonize and some b-boys from SYTYCD accompany. Donna finishes with LAST DANCE. She hands the mike to Syesha at one point for a verse or two!

American Idol - Finale Tracker
I have to admit that not knowing the final "song spoilers" for last night made the show a lot more fun for me! Well it doesn't matter, the spoilers for Season 7 are OVER. The performance spoilers that is. This will be the spot to come for all finale spoiers, rumors, etc.
Here's hoping for a spectacular finale!
- Carrie Underwood will perform with the Jonas Brothers
- George Michael, Donna Summer, ZZ Top are rumored to perform. With or without an Idol? I hope all of these people are performing WITH an Idol?
- Seal also rumored to perform
- Neil Diamonds name is floating around
- Paula Abdul is rumored to perform
- some SYTYCD finalists are rumored to perform
I just want the Idols to get their due! Lets hope the focus is on them and not all of these stars.
Finale Dial Idol Results

Dial Idol really got this one wrong? This is really going to cost them credibility?
Here is my experience from last night. Keep in mind I have not used Dial Idol to vote all season because of my many computer problems, and with my new computers had not gotten around to downloading it...settting it up, etc.
I voted for David Archuleta, set it up to dial all three numbers. When dialing I would receive one of three things, a busy signal, a successful vote, or an "all circuits are busy" sort of connection. The "all circuits are busy" connection was counting as a vote in the Dial Idol software? I would imagine the same thing was happening for both contestants, but if they aren't interpreting the connection right, how can you predict results by only counting busy signals, and not unsuccessful connections?
Anyway, I could be wrong, but that "gut thing" I talked about yesterday feels even stronger this morning! Either way, I love them both, and expect them both to be successful regardless of the results.

It seems appropriate that Ruben is here performing on the first all male finale since his narrow victory in Season 2. America got it right in Season 2 (imho), will they get it right this year?
