Anyone ready for a little Jack Bauer?
Season 8's 2 night, 4 hour premiere begins Sunday, Jan 11th at 8/7 CST and continues Monday Jan 12th at 8/7 CST. Doesn't it seem like this show has been off the air FOREVER? After the writer's strike ended last spring, the producers elected to scrap the season in it's entirety for 2008 instead of putting out a shortened series. I say BRAVO for that decision, but that doesn't mean I was happy about it.

WOW - Has It Really Been Almost a Month?
WOW, sorry about that! I guess I needed a little breather. Well, to give myself a break it was the Holidays....and there hasn't been much of ANYTHING on the tube.
Now everything has changed! I am ready to get back on the horse, metaphorically speaking! I am finally going to officially install my new layout sometime today. Let's all cross our fingers that I don't lose EVERYTHING. So, if you find the site down for a few hours, that is probably why.
Lots to catch up on with American Idol! I will have that for you as well. PLUS, we have Nigel's new show starting tonight. Superstars of Dance. Meh? Not sure on that one yet, but since most of us are BIG dance fans, I will definately give it a look see.
24 is also starting this month! I got into a conversation with a friend of mine the other day trying to remember what night 24 is on. Has it been that long? YES. I cannot. wait. Did you see "Redemption"? Jack - I get it! Sacrificing yourself for those kids is your redemption!
Anyway...stay tuned! I am rested and ready!

"Jericho" Star to Join Cast of "24"

Check it out...direct from zap2it:
Sprague Grayden, most recently seen on CBS' "Jericho," has landed a recurring role on FOX's "24."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Grayden will play Olivia Taylor, daughter of President Allison Taylor (Cherry Jones) and the nation's first First Husband (Colm Feore).
It's unclear how many episodes Grayden's character will appear in or what sort of inevitable trouble she'll find herself in. The HR story also doesn't say whether or not Olivia will be introduced in the two-hour "24" prequel which will air in November and bridge the long gap between the show's sixth and seventh seasons. Part of the prequel is expected to deal with President Taylor's inauguration.
Great to see another friendly face and capable actor join 24!

"Day 7" Season Premiere Clocks-In January 2009
Fans have been waiting almost a year for the return of 24, television's most addictive drama. On Sunday, November 23 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), the wait will be over as FOX presents a special two-hour prequel event.
Shot on location in South Africa, Jack Bauer battles an international crisis, while here at home the nation prepares for a new president on inauguration day. Taking place just a few months before the new day dawns, the prequel will set the stage and raise the stakes for Season Seven.

Chloe Mistaken For Prostitute!

I am a HUGE 24 fan so I love this story! Don't mess with Chloe...
Rajskub, who plays computer expert Chloe O'Brian on the Fox drama "24", found herself in an embarrassing situation when looking for work in Los Angeles.
"I was wandering aimlessly wearing ratty pyjama bottoms, a top, metallic wraparound sunglasses and a dirty lavender backpack," Rajskub told WENN. "A girl wearing a tank top and short shorts stopped me and asked, 'Are you looking for work?'
"I was, sort of. I had just finished a role in the Kirstie Alley sitcom Veronica's Closet. 'Come with me,' said the girl. I followed her into a doughnut shop, where I was introduced to a man dressed in all black and chunky gold jewellery, and realised he was a pimp.
"'My name is Charles, but people call me Lawrence,' he said, 'We're in the adult entertainment industry.' I said, 'I'll think about it,' and ran out of the shop."

Writers Guild of America Strike After-effects
Fox Postpones 24, Sets American Idol Premiere
With the Writers Guild of America strike looming long-term, FOX has announced an overhauled spring schedule that includes an "American Idol" premiere, but no "24."
FOX is quick to note that a fast resolution to the strike could cause yet another schedule upheaval, but as of Wednesday (Nov. 7) afternoon, the seventh season of "24" has been postponed indefinitely so that when the show returns, it can have its standard uninterrupted run.
For many viewers, the most important part of FOX's Wednesday announcement is the news that "American Idol" will kick off its seventh season with a four-hour two-night premiere on Tuesday, Jan. 15 and Wednesday, Jan. 16. That's happening regardless of what happens with the writers, so it's as close to set in stone as anything FOX does.
Reports: Strike May Rush 'Big Brother'
Are Julie Chen and her band of summer shut-ins ready for primetime in the regular TV season?
According to Variety and Entertainment Weekly, CBS has already begun casting on the sly for a new season of "Big Brother," which could be rushed to the air as soon as February.
With the Writers Guild strike threatening to impact scripted programs for the spring, "Big Brother" would be a major asset for CBS. The Chen-hosted voyeuristic favorite has traditionally occupied three primetime hours per week during CBS' summer months, bringing in a regular stream of young viewers. The show is filmed in a camera-studded box on the CBS lot, so it would require relatively little production prep (though a spring shoot could impact the show's bikini-filled hot tub scenes).
The Variety story mentions the possibility (buzzed in different online circles for years) that the new "Big Brother" season might be a celebrity edition, capitalizing on the number of TV stars left potentially unemployed by a strike.
