What I loved about this performance was how much fun Shawn seemed to be having. She seemed really relaxed and totally in the moment. The side by side synchronicity these two have is really some of the best I've seen. I only wish Shawn would have come into herself a little earlier in the season.

Dancing with the Stars - Gun-toting Man Arrested For Stalking Shawn Johnson

TMZ is reporting that a man (Robert O'Ryan) has been charged with stalking Shawn Johnson after climbing a fence at the studio in an attempt to get into the taping of Monday nights live show. This is a developing story and really must be terrifying for Shawn and her family! My god she is only 17!

A man claiming he was "meant to be" with Shawn Johnson was arrested early Tuesday morning after trying to sneak on to the set of "Dancing With the Stars" -- and cops say he had two loaded guns and duct tape in his car.

Johnson's mother, Teri, has just filed a petition for a restraining order against the man, 34-year-old Robert O'Ryan. The restraining order seeks protection for 17-year-old Shawn, her mother, her father and her "Dancing" partner Mark Ballas.

According to documents filed by Johnson, "The LAPD searched [O'Ryan's] vehicle and located a loaded .45 handgun, a loaded shotgun, and materials classically used for kidnapping including duct tape, zip ties, and a map to the victim. Also found were love letters, clippings and other information on the victim."

According to the documents, O'Ryan told police "He had packed all his belongings and permanently left Florida to drive out here to be with [Shawn Johnson], he believes that she speaks to him personally through the television set and through ESP and that they will have a child together, he stated he would be with her no matter what."

According to the CBS incident report, the whole thing started Monday afternoon when a CBS employee noticed O'Ryan jumping a fence and entering a hallway in the East Studio. Private security confronted him and asked for ID -- and that's when O'Ryan produced an expired concealed weapons license. When guards asked if he had a weapon on him, O'Ryan admitted to having 2 guns in his car. At that point, the guards alerted the LAPD.

In the documents, Johnson claims she's "in fear for her life, she is extremely upset by this incident and her entire family and those around are all extremely concerned and fearful that [O'Ryan] might try to kidnap her or harm her in an effort to make good on his statements."

In a development this morning:

He is currently being held on $35,000 bail. With the charges just filed by the L.A. County District Attorney, prosecutors will ask that bail be upped to $220,000.

In the charges, the D.A. claims O'Ryan "willfully and maliciously" harassed Shawn Johnson and made "a credible threat with the intent that SHE be placed in reasonable fear for HER safety..."

Let's hope the authorities and everyone involved with DWTS take this VERY seriously and this guy continues to remain in custody.

If Denise and Maks were going home they could possibly have averted that result. I'd sort of like to see a little more a Dmitry. Unfortunately he has somewhat of a dolt for a partner. We'll see what happens after the commercial break...

Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy Engaged!

Zap2it is reporting (that People magazine is reporting) that Maks and Karina became engaged over the New Years Eve holiday!

The couple was in Las Vegas to celebrate the new year when he popped the question. A source assures the magazine that "they are really cute together."

Smirnoff, 30, and Chmerkovskiy, who turns 29 this month, are both
natives of Ukraine. She was previously involved with her former "Dancing" partner Mario Lopez, but they split up last spring.

Chmerkovskiy partnered with Olympian Misty May-Treanor on "Dancing" last fall, while Smirnoff danced with chef Rocco DiSpirito.

Wow, that was fast. They both strike me as hopeless romantics, which begs the question - have thought this through? Well best of luck to them either way!
