Randy: It wasn't great; parts were ok.
Paula: You have to figure out a way to continue and not stop. This is live tv.
Simon: it was so dramatic! then your voice tensed up and seemed to be straining after you started again.
Me: Brooke sang a line or two, stopped, apologized and started over. I thought it ws pretty good.

Randy: A'ight; Brook, I liked the singer songwriter thing, until the bridge; I thought it was pretty good.
Paula: Every ounce of you is totally authentic; this unplugged version was very brave
Simon: I don't think you had much choice; having said that; it was a bit like ordering hamburger and only getting the bun
Me: It did get a little fast and a little pitchy in the middle; but still liked it.

American Idol - Top 8 - Brooke White -- "You've Got a Friend"

Randy: For me, I don't think it was your best performance, it was a'ight
Paula: I grew up to that song. You are definitive and I love you.
Simon: It was a pleasent walk in the park. Was it original no, was it pleasant, yes.
Me: I like Brooke, and love the song. I don't think it was her best performance.

American Idol - Top 9 - Brooke White - "Jolene"

Randy: Yo, so check it out, this kind of music suits your voice; it was a'ight
Paula: You are consistent, you put your heart and soul into it
Simon: Totally disagree with Paula, no emotion,
Me: I thought we had some pitchy parts, but probably a good song choice. Brooke sang seated with her guitar and a violinist, a backup singer and a bango type drummer on stage with her.

American Idol - Top 10 - Brooke White - "Every Breath You Take"

Randy: Just ok for me; didn't like the band coming in in the middle.
Paula: I enjoyed this so much moe than last week;
Simon: Agreed with Randy didn't like the band joining in; should have stuck with piano only.
Me: Brooke stumbled at the beginning and restarted; just a note; but interesting to see because she started acapella on the first note. She always makes the song sound current to me.

American Idol - Top 11 - Brooke White - “Here Comes the Sun”

Randy: It didn't seem like you really connected with the song.
Paula: A little safe.
Simon: I thought it was terrible. I knew you would wear yellow when I heard you were singing this song.
Me: I thought it was pretty good. A little safe. Agreeing with Paula tonight. Did someone slip me a mickey?

American Idol - Brooke White - “Let It Be”

Randy: Check it out. I don't know if it's your strongest performance; You have a lot of conviction. The Dawg is a fan.
Paula: This is your nitch; picking songs that let you connect with the audience
Simon: One of the best performances of the night. It's believable.
Me: Brooke has the same conviction as Jason; I love them both!
