Here we go! We have moved from the hometowm of Jordin Sparks to the hometown of David Cook.

Ashley Anderson is going to Hollywood! She sang Footprints (Footsteps?) in the Sand, a Leona Lewis song co-written by Simon Cowell. She's likable and has some decent chops. I liked her.

Casey Carlson is going to Hollywood! Another good singer. Polished and with personality.

American Idol - Missing Top 24

By my take, we have still not heard a single peep (as in song) out of the following Top 24 contestants, and yes they are all guys:

Garrett Haley
Jason Castro
Jason Yaeger
Luke Menard

It's really a HUGE disadvantage to these five contestants to not have any face time, not impossible, but HUGE. We saw almost nothing of Elliot Yamin in Season 5 prior to the Top 24, so it can happen! Let's hope we get to HEAR something from these guys tonight!

Amy Davis, 25, Lowell, TN, Top 24, sang "Blue Bayou"!



Cardin Lee McKinney Top 50, teaser! OK now she's up! 20, Nashville, TN, sang "One Night Only" from Dreamgirls, Simon says No, Randy and Paula say YES!



Joanne Borgella, teaser, Top 24! 25, Hoboken, NJ, sang "I Love You" by Celine Dion, Simon says NO, Paula and Randy say YES!



Alesha Stelzl, 18, Ontario, CA, sang a Celine Dion song screaming, they send her to learn a Dolly Parton song because Randy and Paula tell her she has a nice tone in her softer voice, she comes back, sings "Islands in the Stream" and makes it to Hollywood. Simon admits after she leaves they were right, and it's killing him...haha.



Chikezie Eze, 22, Inglewood, CA, Top 24, sang "All the Woman I Need", by Luther Vandross":



Danny Noriega next and sounds like last! 17, Top 24, Azuna, CA, sang "Proud Mary". He made it to Hollywood last year, but his nerves got the best of him. On a side note, for very different reasons, it seems both Rickey.org and VFTW are supoporting Danny. In fact, VFTW is reporting that Danny and Sanjaya were bff's last year in Hollywood (which explains everything):



So, as we head to Hollywood, I am struck by the fact that we have see ALL Top 12 girls audition, but only 6 of the Top 12 guys...what is that all about? I'd really like to pick some favorites, but at this point it's really not possible. Hopefully in Hollywood...

First up Josh Jones, 26, Atlanta, GA. Simon made him turn around and sing because he didn't care for his eyes, they were creeping him out. He sang "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen. Randy and Paula put him through, Simon said no.



Asiah Epperson 18, Joplin, MO, "How Do I Live" by LeAnn Rimes. Top 24 contestant! Her father passed away two days before the audition in a car accident, and she sang a really difficult song considering the circumstances, beautifully. Very likable!



Brooke Helvie, 18, Wellington, FL, current Miss South Florida Fair(?), sang "Who's Loving You" by The Jackson 5. Three YES's. Told us she wanted to prove to Simon that some "pageant girls" can really sing.



Alexandrea "Alex" Lushington! 16, Douglasville, GA. Top 24 contestant, sang "My Funny Valentine"! She sure looked older than 16:



Amanda Overmyer! Top 24 contestant, sang "Mean Woman", Janis Japlin, Simon asked for another song. Three YES's! Paula called her the female Chris Daughtry!



Josiah Leming! 18, (Top 50) from Morristown, TN, lives in his car, and loves it! Sang an original song called "To Run".

Ryan tells us more than 10,000 showed up to audition in Miami! Unless I say otherwise, the following contestants all make it to Hollywood.

Former boy bander and rocker Robbie Carrico! 25, Melbourne, FL, Top 24 contestant! Nice voice...the guys might have it this year ladies!



Ghaleb Emachah, 27, (looks about 35) from Venenzuela originally, living in Miami, a bit of an accent, and seemed to be screaming a bit, but nice tone.



Corliss Smith and Brittany Wescott, both 20, both from Jacksonville, FL, BFF's, Corliss had a crush on Randy and sang "Take Five" (the same Billy Holiday song Paris Bennett sang in her audition) and Brittany had a crush on Simon and sang "My Guy".



Suzanne Toon, 21, Clearwater, FL, single mom, sang "I Can't Make You Love Me":
