American Idol - Atlanta Auditions - Update

Here we go! The last auditions city....live blogging of anything of interest. Recaps and videos to follow after the show...

First up Josh Jones, 26, Atlanta, GA. Simon made him turn around and sing because he didn't care for his eyes, they were creeping him out. He sang "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen. Randy and Paula put him through, Simon said no.



Asiah Epperson 18, Joplin, MO, "How Do I Live" by LeAnn Rimes. Top 24 contestant! Her father passed away two days before the audition in a car accident, and she sang a really difficult song considering the circumstances, beautifully. Very likable!



Brooke Helvie, 18, Wellington, FL, current Miss South Florida Fair(?), sang "Who's Loving You" by The Jackson 5. Three YES's. Told us she wanted to prove to Simon that some "pageant girls" can really sing.



Alexandrea "Alex" Lushington! 16, Douglasville, GA. Top 24 contestant, sang "My Funny Valentine"! She sure looked older than 16:



Amanda Overmyer! Top 24 contestant, sang "Mean Woman", Janis Japlin, Simon asked for another song. Three YES's! Paula called her the female Chris Daughtry!



Josiah Leming! 18, (Top 50) from Morristown, TN, lives in his car, and loves it! Sang an original song called "To Run".



20 contestants make it through to Hollywood from Atlanta!
