American Idol - Bucky, Bo and Phil

American Idol - Results Show - Preview Tidbits

On tomorrows results show we will be treated to a "Where are They Now" video segment on Nashville residents Bucky Covington (S5), Phil Stacey (S6), and Bo Bice (S4)!

It also looks like we could be treated to a performance by The Clark Brothers, winners of The Next Great American Band!

And....according to Kim over at girlstalkinsmack Ryan revealed on his radio show TODAY that this week would be a DOUBLE elimination week! Yikes! I would imagine this is due to next weeks Idol Gives Back extravaganza. If you remember last years IGB show, in the spirit of giving, did not eliminate a contestant that week.

Phil Stacey - "If You Didn't Love Me" - Official Music Video

Congrats Phil!

Idols (and Others) in the News

I have been a little idle taking advantage of this last week before the premiere, and have decided one MEGA post is more efficient to catch you up on all of the news instead of several individual posts!

- Kelly Clarkson Number 5, Posh Beckham Number 1, on Blackwells Worst Dressed List of 2007. Posh is interesting due to the rumor that she is being wooed by Heidi Klum to be a guest judge on Project Runway, a show about fashion!

- Taylor Hicks speaks to fans about being dropped by J Records.

- Phil Stacey's first single hit radio on Monday. Slim over at idolbloglive has the audio here.

- Dance Wars: Bruno vs. Carri Ann. I am not a huge fan of the audition process on any of these shows, so I am withholding judgement. My favorite at first glance? Maxx. How can ya not love Drew as the host?

- Carrie Underwood to headline her next tour beginning in February. Tickets go on sale Jan 12th. Read about it here.

Bon Voyage, Phil

Phil was never a favorite of mine, and quite frankly I am surprised he made it as far as he did. This show works in funny ways sometimes. That being said, Phil was beginning to finally show some real potential. But, a little too late. Good luck to you and your family Phil! I do hope your Navy obligations allow you to be on the tour.

Phil Stacey - Blaze of Glory

Phil Stacey - The Change

To vote for Phil call 1 (877) 436-5705 or 1 (877) 436-5711.

Randy happy nice vocal on nice country song; Paulas thought it was his best; Simon thought good choice, but he'd like to see more of the country twang.

I am not even gonna comment on Phil's ears tonight...oops! I'm proud of all the Idols tonight!

VTFW - Supporting Phil Stacey

Vote For The Worst had a good run with Sanjaya, but they are forced to move on. They have chosen Phil Stacey. Phil had a good week during the Country theme, but he has found himself in the bottom three almost every other week, so this was probably their best choice. Good Luck Phil!

Phil Stacey - Where The Blacktop Ends

Performer right, song wrong.

Nice job by Phil. Sounds like he listened to Martina's advice! She told him to bring his soulful finish into the rest of the song. All three judges liked it!

Phil Stacey - Maria, Maria

J Lo had goosepimples! Boy I haven't heard that phrase in a long time. Phil has the best vocals of the remaining guys, but..

For me, there is always a BUT with Phil. He did a pretty good job. I'd keep him this week, as long as somebody better doesn't go home!

Phil Stacey - Night And Day

Phil's ears are back...and the camera is focusing on them. If you could just listen and not watch you could maybe like it a little? I get why people are voting for Sanjaya (crazy), but why are they voting for Phil?

Phil Stacey - Every Breath You Take

Well his ears and head are covered...so thats good. Well may be the first time I have actually liked Phil. Just keep the ears and head covered...

Phil Stacey - Tobacco Road

Boy technical difficulties on my end! I could go into any hotel bar and hear that sung like this? Channeling Simon! Check the video...I posted it before Simon said it...haha!

Phil Stacey - I'm Gonna Make You Love Me

I don't know...for me Phil falls into Simon's famous "I prefer him with my eyes shut" category. Simon used that one on Clay and Clay was miles better than Phil.
