I happen to know someone who performed at the Orange Bowl Halftime. Her dance troupe was chosen to make the treck to Miami to learn and perform the Shane Sparks routine alongside ZZ Top. Hence the scoop. Although we as viewers got to see almost nothing of the routine, the girls performing (700 something) had a blast! The girls costumes were all identical, and there hair was pulled straight back into a bun. Even if you knew someone on the field it would have been next to impossible to pick them out during the performance. Here are some pictures she shared with me:

I was in one of the high school marching bands , and they screwed us over by playing the track way before we were ready , and the power outage sucked too.
