Fringe Gets Full Season Pickup!

Fox has announced they have ordered a full season of "Fringe", the new science fiction series from J.J. Adams. "Fringe" has been the top rated new show to debut this season in the adults 18-49 age group, a key demographic.

“We're having a blast working on this show with this great team of producers,” said Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly in a press release announcing the move. “The series has really taken off creatively, and it's exciting to see that the audience is responding. We believe this is the first full season of many years to come.”

I LOVE this show! It's part "24", part "X-Files" and part "Back to the Future", if you can imagine that. The plot is crafted around FBI Agent Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv), Dr. Walter Bishop (John Noble), his son Peter (Joshua Jackson), and Homeland Security. Agent Dunham is recruited by Homeland Security to help investigate "unexplained" events believed to be associated with a 60's secret research project of the Army into Fringe science. The project was lead by Dr. Walter Bishop. The trouble is Dr. Walter Bishop has been institutionalized for the past 17 years.
