American Idol - Top 8 Girls - Performances

Here we go!

1) Asai'h Epperson - Whitney Houston "I Wanna Dance With Somebody"
- not my favorite of hers, but sailing through to the Top 12 (I hope!).



2) Kady Malloy -- Queen "Who Wants To Live Forever"
- could be on the bubble of making or not making the Top 12. This was better than her prior selections.



3) Amanda Overmyer -- Joan Jett "Hate Myself For Loving You"
- GREAT job by Amanda! Simon said FANTASTIC!

4) Carly Smithson -- Cyndi Lauper "I Drove All Night"
- There is something about Carly. I think she has a great voice, but she just hasn't picked very good songs. She can't move deep into the competition if she doesn't get better at that.



5) Kristy Lee Cook -- Journey "Faithfully"
- Love this song! Kristy's best to date.



6) Ramiele Malubay -- Phil Collins "Against All Odds"
- I liked it, thought she did a good job. Should be safe.



7) Brooke White -- Pat Benatar "Love Is A Battlefield"
- Brook was not playing the guitar, someone else was, and she was sitting down. I kept waiting for her to stand up. Not my favorite of hers, but I still love her!



8) Syesha Mercado -- Whitney Houston "Saving All My Love For You"
- Great vocals...and it is a singing competition..!
