savefridaynightlights.tv has been raising money in an attempt to convince NBC to renew Friday Night Lights for a 3rd season. On Monday they shipped (pictured above) 6,250 mini footballs to NBC, which is only shipment #1. To date the sight has raised enough money for 16,250 mini footballs!
Due to the tremendous response from the FNL fans, the site has also begun donating 15% of each goals proceeds to the Childrens Hospital in Los Angeles, a charity that Taylor Kitsch (Tim Riggins) works with.
Finally, the site has raised $924 to send Friday Night Lights DVD's to troops stationed overseas.
NBC plans to announce it's 52 week schedule in April.
