American Idol - Top 12 Guys - Performances

Tonight the Top 12 Guys perform songs from The 60's! 10 minutes to go!

I CAN NOT WAIT for the cheesy group number Thursday! How about you??

If I get the names of the songs wrong I will correct later. Videos will follow after the show!

1) David Hernandez - "I'm Gonna Wait Till The Midnight Hour"
Nice vocals, better than I expected from David! Notice I said it BEFORE Simon did! What I have seen about David up to this point reminded me of Sway (from last year). Sway was loved by Randy and Paula, and I JUST DIDN'T GET IT. David was better than Sway.

2) Chikezie Eze - "I Love You More Today Than Yesterday"
A little old fashioned, could be in trouble, but I like his voice, just not this song too much...we'll see. American Idol always needs an R&B guy, I hope Chikezie gets another chance and does better.

3) David Cook - "Happy Together"
Pretty good for David! Not the best vocalist, but a good performance! He should be safe enough to advance.

4) Jason Yaeger - "Moon River" seated then stands
We see his intro, he is 28, has a son, probably 7-8? He was a little old fashioned...sounded like a crooner a bit? Although he didn't sound that way in his audition. Lack of screen time could have him in trouble...

5) Robbie Carrico - "One" (is the loneliest number)
Honestly seemed a little safe to me. I like Robbie too...worried!

6) David Archuleta - "Shop Around"
He's ONLY 17! haha! (Like Jordin). I really like him! He is genuinely cute.

7) Danny Noriega - "Jailhouse Rock"
This kid is much stronger vocally than Sanjaya! Simon HATED it! He gives Simon some attitude...but did it well I thought...haha!

8) Luke Menard - ""Everybody Talkin At Me"
Paula compares him to Kenny Loggins, one of my favorite singers! But very forgettable song...could be in trouble...

9) Colton Berry - "Suspicious Minds"
Good song choice...strong vocals! Made it his own! Simon didn't like it, and I completely disagree.

10) Garrett Haley - "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do"
His introduction says he was nervous, I thought he didn't seem nervous? Simon is really getting nasty last several contestants!

11) Jason Castro - "What a Day for a Daydream"
Definately made it his own! I liked it! He is funny because he looks so much older than he is and than he acts. He seemed incredibly shy...could work well for him.

12) Michael Johns - "Light My Fire"
A great song choice and made it his own...one of the best of the night! Good looking guys need to stay humble though...don't let it get to your head Michael!

My Top 3:
David Archuleta
Michael Johns
Jason Castro

My Bottom 3:
Jason Yaeger
Luke Menard
Garret Haley
