Another good show! The "murder" finally wrapped up with Landry confessing and the police's decision not to press charges based on their conclusion that is was self-defense. The "murder" was quite a shock to the regular viewers of the show, but it turned out giving us alot of screen time and some great performances from both Jesse Plemons as Landry and Adrianne Palicki as Tyra.
The Taylor family celebrated Grace's babtism, and Tami and Julie seeming to come to a tentative truce after having some more raw and angry words. Amie Teegarden as Julie has been given some juicy story lines this season and she's doing a great job! Connie Britton as Tami is amazing as always.
Riggins (Taylor Kitsch) got fedup with his nutcase of a roommate. He is beginning to see his future if he continues on the same path. He's slowly getting his life back together, which the team will need as we progress through the season. The FNL blog indicates Riggins may be moving in with Coach Taylor and his family for a bit...that could be just around the corner.
We get a glimpse of the Buddy Garrity and Santiago relationship. Buddy gives Santiago some tough love before the big game when Santiago (because he's scared) says the game isn't a big deal. Buddy knows he's making progress when Santiago says "I hate you!". Then Santiago ends up going in the game and forcing a fumble by sacking the quarterback. The turning point in what becomes a Panther victory.
It's all the tiny victories in this show that make it such a pleasure to watch. The show is on hiatus until January 4th, when it returns with six original episodes, pending no resolution to the WGA strike. Take this opportunity to see what you've been missing. You can watch the ENTIRE 1st season and the 2nd season to date here. Yes that's every episode ever made. What else are you going to do the next couple of weeks?
You can thank me later.
