The show starts off with an announcement that Marie is not there because she received news her father died. I had seen Donny Osmond on an entertainment show before the show last night and he had talked about his fathers failing health.
Tom then announces that Marie was NOT eliminated, and will be back next week.
Encore dance:
Mel B and Maksim
Safe:
Mel B and Maks
Cameron and Edyta (boo)
With three coupled remaining in danger and in an effort to shield us from the fact that Marie was in the bottom two this week, Tom announces that different from past weeks they will not be announcing who received the lowest two scores. Of the remaining three couples, one received the lowest combined scores:
Helio and Julianne, Jane and Tony, and Jennie and Derek
Helio and Julianne are pronounced safe. Tom re-iterates that the remaining two are not necessarily the bottom two vote getter's. We get it Tom, we aren't as dumb as we must look.
Jane and Tony are eliminated.
I am not overly thrilled with this season - are you? The celebrities as a whole are much better than past years, but nobody is really capturing my attention. With Sabrina gone there really is no Drew, Mario, Emmitt or Apolo in this bunch.
I was a Helio fan early on (and still am), but he doesn't really seem to be improving, if anything he's getting worse. I don't really care for Cameron or Mel B. Cameron is desperate to win (in a weird way), and Mel B doesn't know how to woo fans to vote for her (try being nice and gracious?). Note to Mel: Shaking your finger at us and telling us to vote isn't winning you any fans.
I think I might have to get behind Jennie and Derek for the win. I need someone to root for?
