I was lucky enough to attend the first game of Saturday's double header in St. Louis! It's a beautiful stadium...much nicer than the old one. The old stadium, shaped like a bowl, allowed for no breeze, and the heat and humidity would get stuck in that bowl with no way out.
The Cubs went 3/4 in the St. Louis series, exactly what we had hoped for! You can pretty much cut the Cards out of the Division race at this point. They are 7 games back and there isn't much they can do about it at this point. It is out of their hands. But, we do need them to act as spoiler for the Brewers later this month.
You'll notice I've added a Magic Number counter at the top of the left side panel. I went back and forth on whether that would be bad karma or not! I decided to go for it, it's now or never Cubs fans. It's gonna be tense from here on out...take deep breaths!

Last nights game was as exciting as it gets,cubs win cubs win. tonight is going to be tough we have our ace and the reds have theirs. However the brewers have their ace going against a rookie. we will prevail!!!
