Big Brother 8 - Weekend Update

Well, it's Sunday morning, almost 5 am BB time and most of the houseguests are still up. There is so much going on ( and nothing much of substance) this early in the game, that it's hard to keep up. I'm not at a point where I care a whole lot about much of this, so I don't pay a whole lot of attention. Here are some highlights:

- It seems there is a pretty tight (secret) alliance between Kail, Mike, Zack and Nick. I think Kail made a smart move trying to win the first HOH. She had a disadvantage coming in being the oldest female. The HOH gave her the advantage of "private" talks with each of them, giving her an opportunity to make some deals to secure her immediate future. Plus, she made some smart nominations, making them "fair", so they can't really be held against her. The disadvantage she has is being separated from the lot for a loooong week.

- There seems to be a weaker "6" alliance that Joe was working on, but not sure he is still a part of it? It's very unclear to me who is in that one. I want to say, Dustin, Amber, Dick, Jessica? It's pretty weak and the players keep changing...so I didn't pay much attention.

- Eric (our America's Player) NEVER stops talking!

- Dick seems to be one of the most entertaining of the bunch. He doesn't seem to be afraid to ruffle some feathers starting conversations about religion, politics, etc. He seems to be adept at spending a lot of quality time with the rest, even being "the old guy".

- Carol spent some early time feeling sorry for herself, expecting to leave. Now she is fighting a lot harder, spending a lot of time working for votes. I can't help but compare her to Jen (S6), the most hated houseguest of all time! It's a physical comparison, but that's all we've got at this point.

-Jen seems to be in a bad spot, for the moment. She apparently thought her and Nick had something going, then when Nick started spending time with Daniele, she freaked out! They had an extremely awkward confrontation in the storage room this morning, that really resolved little, just made things more awkward.

- I am not sure when the Veto meeting is, but it doesn't seem likely Daniele will use it.

That's really all for now. I imagine at some point they will be GOING TO BED, and we can all rest for 6-8 hours...
